Eventually Hulga met a boy who considered himself as christian. She starts to love him more and more but sh never will say it either. In a way Hulga’s non-believing led to her demise because the christian man she fell in love with took her leg while they were in the barn. Because she was not a believer this was coming to her for not believing.

In the begining thw two men are discussing hunting and the feelings the animals have. Whitney describes the animals as having feeling like the “…fear of pain and the fear of death.” When Rainsford meets General Zaroff and learns more about the man and his hunting ways, he starts to feel for the animals that are being hunted and a little remorseful towards them. At the end is when he actually feels like the animals who are running for their lives. He felt the fear of pain and death all right, he saw them face to face.
